Enjoy the flavors of Korean BBQ in a healthy and plant-based way with this stir fry recipe. The dish features soy protein, an excellent source of plant-based protein, stir-fried with a medley of vegetables like bell peppers, broccoli, and onions. The ingredients are coated in a savory and slightly spicy Gochujang Bulgogi sauce, adding a rich depth of flavor to the dish. This stir fry is not only delicious but also quick and easy to make, perfect for a busy weeknight meal. Serve it over a bed of steamed rice for a complete and satisfying meal that's both nutritious and flavorful.

 

Directions

  • Soak soy protein in water according to package directions and drain.
  • Add Gochujang Korean BBQ Marinade to soy protein and let it marinate for 30 minutes.
  • In a large skillet, heat the oil and sauté onion and garlic, cook for about 3 minutes.
  • Add all diced vegetables and cook for 3 minutes.
  • Add soy protein and cook over medium heat for approx. 4 minutes until the soy protein turns little brown.
  • Place soy protein on top of rice and garnish with lemon zest, scallions and sesame seeds.

  • Soy protein chunk or ground 120 gr
  • Vegetable oil 20 ml
  • Onion, diced 50 gr
  • Garlic cloves, sliced 2
  • Zucchini, diced 40 gr
  • Red and yellow bell pepper, diced 40 gr
  • Mushroom, diced 40 gr
  • Carrot, diced 40 gr
  • Steamed or boiled rice 150 gr
  • Lemon zest, chopped to garnish
  • Scallion, sliced to garnish
  • Sesame seed to garnish
